Ay Illuminate

Ay Illuminate is a Dutch brand offering a beautiful collection of Scandinavian Ethnic pendant ceiling lights, inspired by nature and ethnic cultures. The Ay Illuminate ceiling pendants are made of bamboo, wood, rattan, cotton and cashmere by local craftsman in Asia and Africa.

Ay Illuminate is well known for their Z-serie ceiling pendants, which are frequently used by professional interior designers. Mostly within a Scandinavian decor, adding a warm and ethnic touch to a rather clean and light base. The Swedish Photographer and interiors stylist Paulina Arcklin has been an
important ambassador for Ay Illuminate. Paulina Arcklin introduced her original Scandinavian Ethnic styling to a wide international audience using the Ay Illuminate pendant ceiling light as a centrepiece in many of her interior styling projects.

Especially the Ay Illuminate Models Z1, Z5, Z2 and Z11 are featured in many interior design magazines and interior decoration blogs, such as Elle Decoration and Marie Claire Living. The design of the Z-serie ceiling pendants remind us of the Asian sky lanterns, which are used by the Chinese for centuries during important festivities. This strong connection to Asia and Africa is the key of the Ay Illuminate concept story. The designers of Ay illuminate are inspired by nature and the cultures they work close with to produce their lamps. Ay Illuminate ceiling lights reflect natural shapes and organic materials, combined with local artisanal expertise.

Each Ay Illuminate ceiling pendant tells its own story and reflects it’s own culture. The Ay Illuminate  ceiling lights carry the genes of the local artisans who handcrafted them. The Ay Illuminate collection is a great addition to the Petite Lily Interiors product offer, which is focussed on Scandinavian Ethnic furniture and interior decoration.

The Ay Illuminate ceiling pendant lights match very well with our other brands Tell Me More, Bloomingville and our authentic collection of unique Elm wood furniture pieces.
